I just had a great vacant property that I was asked to stage. The rooms were great, the location was great and lots of nice amenities but we needed to paint, for a number of reasons. We needed to paint to give the property a nice, fresh look. It was a newer home and was just a tiny bit tired, but more importantly it was very taste specific. The eating area off the kitchen was bright yellow, with cherry cabinets and black appliances. The guest bath was peach. But alas, there was not going to be any painting. Okay, we are stagers and we are solutions based, so I said if I can’t paint then I will dazzle the room with accessories that will compliment the space.

As you look below I used a bright painting with lots of yellow as the accent, the dishes are gold with splashes of brown, red and green. The center piece is all of those colors with bright green apples and I used salmon colored napkins and placemats to soften the other brighter colors. Finally the napkin rings tied all the colors in together and mimicked the flower pattern in my rental art.

Actually the paint was much brighter than it shows here but you can see how bringing in these bright colors helped tie the space together.

The peach bathroom was fun because we used white and sparklie (is that a word) to make it all work, I think we did okay!
