2013 Market Update – February Comparison

The real estate market is definitely picking up again and is slowly climbing back to where it was before everything went south a few years ago. We in the business can feel it every day and it is a very exciting thing to watch unfold. With each month of new data, the trends are looking bright.

As you review the data comparison of February this year and last year below, you will notice two very important things:

  1. Total number of sales has grown by 27%
  2. The average sale price has increased by $3,881

So what does this mean?

As a homeowner, your home’s value is rising to a more comfortable level, and if you’ve been thinking about selling – now could be the right time, especially with the upsurge of willing and able buyers.

As a potential buyer, just remember that with the way things are going (and with any luck) values will keep escalating so you won’t want to wait too long in order to get the most return on your investment.
